Desk Rug is a native macOS application that runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

Your files stay on your Mac. Always.

2. What Desk Rug Does Not Do

• Does not send your files, images, or data to any server
• Does not track your usage or behavior
• Does not require an internet connection to function
• Does not contain analytics or telemetry
• Does not use cookies or tracking mechanisms

3. Local Storage

Desk Rug stores its configuration preferences (chosen rug pattern, floor image, hotkey settings, schedule) locally on your Mac using macOS preferences system.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

4. Internet Connection

Desk Rug does not require an internet connection. All cloth physics simulation, rendering, and icon management happen entirely on your Mac using Metal and Swift.

5. Third-Party Services

Desk Rug does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms.

6. Children's Privacy

Desk Rug does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

Since Desk Rug does not collect any data, this policy is unlikely to change. If future versions introduce any data handling, we will update this document accordingly.
